How has S4TIME optimized the working time planning process in a big retail network?


Client: country-wide retail sales network in Poland, 140 stores, head office in Warsaw

Situation before implementation: Central working time planning. Files were sent to store managers on a monthly basis. All modifications were registered in .xls format and sent back to HR department as a final month’s coverage. As a consequence: mistakes in settlements, long process of planning and settling working time.

After implementation of S4TIME:

  • significant reduction of time necessary to draw up schedules, streamlined work of HR department — minimized electronic correspondence and eliminated MS Excel reporting (.xls).
  • Decentralized planning, i.e. independent planning by store managers provides current information about compliance with regulations (LC). Information about current schedule is available locally (store management) and centrally (HQ in Warsaw). This means full control over schedules of all stores — every time and everywhere. The above data also constitute a synthetic picture not only for HR, but also for the Management or Sales Department.
